1y Spring

Here we go! The attempt for Ellen's perfect ending is GO!! Confirm the origin of fire!!

Spring 2

Got three Berries of Power Tree -- one for plowing fields (took FOREVER to find it), one for smashing the chicken statue (took 4 or 5 attempts), and one for chopping stumps in the mountain (forgot this one even existed but got it on like my 2nd stump).

Shipped two wild grapes and bought and planted a bag of Potato seeds. Planted the grass seeds you get from the sexy mustache man. Off to a good start!

Spring 3

Found the second field Berry of Power Tree, bringing us to a total of 4. There's a 5th one available but I don't want to waste time fishing when I can be gathering grapes.

Already have enough lumber for the first house extension :P

Spring 4

After having talked to Ellen a lot the first couple days, we trigger the P-chan event! It's actually not necessary to complete this event, but I feel like it wouldn't be a "perfect" Ellen ending if we didn't find P-chan and let her go. That means the crops got pushed back a day, as there wasn't time to water them before ending the event. Still sold two wild grapes, though.

Spring 5

Cleared all the stumps from my land. 5 potato patches.

Spring 6

Since there's no shopping on Saturday, I sold my two wild grapes, then went immediately to the fishing pond to catch a fish. Luckily I caught one in seconds! Gave it to the water imp and he gave me a Berry of Power Tree. That's half the Berries in the game!

Spring 7

Decided to see if it was possible to get 3 wild grapes in before the shipment man came, since town is closed up again today. It is possible! I wouldn't have even had to cut it so close if I hadn't run around looking at my potatoes before running up to the mountain.

Spring 8

First rain of the season.

Spring 9

First harvest of the season! I now have 11 potato fields planted, which requires a trip to the hot spring every day to take care of T_T So much work hahaha.

Spring 10

Tried to get two fields of potatoes harvested, two wild grapes foraged, and still make it to the flower shop on time to renew my seeds... didn't work out, so I reset and only foraged one wild grape.

Spring 11

The grass came in today. Or at least I noticed it for the first time today. Does it take 9 days...?

Finally cleared the land of all rocks and stumps and weeds.

Bought 11 bags of potato seeds and planted 2. Gotta keep on these numbers to make sure I don't run out at an inopportune moment or that I don't overbuy them.

Spring 12

Noticed a field that didn't have anything planted in it... guess I was just watering nothing. It's nearly impossible to see which fields have seeds once it gets dark lol. So I planted another 2 bags of seeds, now I'm at 7. That should be enough to last the weekend...

Spring 13

There were no potatoes to harvest today. I am confused.

But it's Saturday, so that means I had enough time to forage for grapes three times.

Spring 14

Three fields of potatoes came in today. Took the last potato to the peddler and got 160G for it lol.

Decided to go to church while I was in town, because why not. I hadn't anything else to do for the day that needed to be done within a time limit, and there was still some time left while in town, so...

Ellen just prays for her dad's good health in English. In Japanese she specifically prays that he'll stop drinking too much. Curious what she says in German.

Spring 15

Planted two more bags of potatoes; 2 left.

Spring 16

A conveniently rainy day. Finished off the two bags of seeds; need to make sure to buy more tomorrow.

Spring 17

Bought 15 more potato seed bags, two grass seed bags, and ordered the house upgrade. Started the day with 8000G, ended with 4000G. I should be getting more than 1000G from my shipment of potatoes today, so that will be enough to cover the 5000G needed for the house upgrade tomorrow.

Planted the grass seeds and two of the potato seeds, so I have 13 potato seeds left.

Spring 18

Planted 2 more potatoes, down to 11.

At this rate I should have plenty of potato income to afford the Seed of Snow Flower and next season's seeds. I'm going to need 3000G for seeds for the summer, and getting about 1000 a day... that'll be about 10,000G by the end of the season. 2000G for the Seed of Snow Flower, 2000G for a chicken... should easily be able to afford 3000G for seeds, then I'll spend the rest on grass.

Spring 19

No potatoes today.

Spring 20

Was going to buy a chicken today but then realized it's Saturday. Chicken's gonna have to wait a while. 3 potato fields harvested today, seeds down to 8. I may have overpurchased a little and might end up with a few extra bags at the end of the season.

Spring 21

2 bags planted, down to 6. Sunday so couldn't buy a chicken again :P

Spring 22

Another 2 planted, down to 4. Thought chickens cost 2000G, turns out they're only 1000G. So I bought 3 bags of grass seed in addition to my chicken today. Still have enough for the Seed of Snow Flower tomorrow.

Spring 23

Flower Festival! Didn't do anything but care for the chicken and go to the festival. You immediately go to sleep after the festival, so I don't have time to water, and may as well just leave harvesting for the next day.

Danced with Ellen and of course bought the Seed of Snow Flower.

Spring 24

Today is the last day of the season for planting potatoes. There are 11 fields left, and two bags of seeds left over. So I should be making about 7000G and only lost 400G on the extra seeds. I also forgot to budget for one thing that I'll be buying come Sunday -- the Blue Feather! But it's okay because I'm well ahead of budget.

Spring 25

Forgot to care for the chicken and ship the egg until after 5PM, meaning I'm out 50G and one piece of fodder pretty much :,)

Spring 26

First chick born on the ranch :)

Spring 27

Finally don't have to go to the hot spring to water the crops anymore...

Spring 28

Was raining so couldn't buy my Blue Feather T_T Guess I'll have to wait for next week...

Spring 29

Nothing happened, but I have a header for every other date this month, so here we are.

Spring 30

And finally Spring has come to a close. Days of watering like mad and going to the hot springs are over.

Spent the night readying the fields for Summer.

I ended the season with 12270G. So painfully close to being able to buy the house upgrade as well as get all the seeds I need. Though then I would not be able to afford the Blue Feather on Sunday.

And with that, we've finished the first season. Summer should run a little more smoothly/quickly than Spring, since we shouldn't have to go to the hot spring every single day for watering, have no real need to go into town most of the time since we don't need to keep restocking seeds, and will in general have less work to do now that we're not cramming so much.
