I think one of the most difficult things about trying to come back to lj is that I'm used to getting comments and new posts on my friends page throughout the day; at least, that's how it used to be. And then with newer things like tumblr and facebook you just have a constant stream of content pretty much, so if you want to go check up you'll always find something new, even if it's not interesting or anything. There's just always something there. I check up on lj and there's nothing new lol.

Yeah, I searched for communities too and everything was dead x____x; I wish there was a site that was active but pretty much like LJ??? Another friend on here says he uses something called DW (Dream... Weaver? I forget) that xposts to lj automatically but is its own site??? I haven't really looked into it much yet.

Oh I used to use that place - Dreamwidth! I just searched on there and it's all dead too XD The individual journals seem quite active, but any communities involved in stuff I like are hardly updated, and if they are it's SOOOOOOOOOOO BORING. Like, the dullest people are updating them XD Maybe I will try to cross-post again like I Used to and see which site picks up? The admin there were much friendlier, and their journal was updated last year december which I think is more recent than LJ?

Yeah, I kinda remember hearing of DW back in the LJ days but never really looked into it. If it's similar to lj but even a tiny bit better I guess it wouldn't hurt to jump over there. I'll wait and see I guess XD

If you wanna try friending the other people I managed to persuade back, they are (IDK if you happened to know any of them on lj back-in-the-day, or at least remember them from my lj XD)

dreamingmystic - Used to be misatopixie or misato_pixie, idr which. Made a new account now though. she's my irl friend and was one of my most active lj friends prol? You might remember her from old lj times idk, I feel like you might even have interacted on facebook or something XD

lila_werewolf - One of my first online friends ever and another active old lj'er; she likes old guys too and is married to an older man XD Also loves Trek and Dragon Age is one of her fav games, so you two could probably get along well!! We've never met irl but we live somewhat close to each other.

kenyefartson - Another older-man admirer (uh this tends to be how I meet people I feel???) though his tastes are all over the map. A bit hard to describe because his personality is really unique and eclectic, but he's a very compassionate person and kind and ... yeah, hard to describe XD

thenicochan - The DW user i was talking about... Never actually really left the whole lj/dw scene I guess XD Well, at least was still actively using DW to this day o_o! Likes a lot of RPGs and mostly talks about games and life and especially likes Fire Emblem. Of course, also is into older guys sometimes but has a pretty wide taste it seems.

Those are bad descriptions of everyone but hey XD And you don't have to friend them or anything I just figured you might want to make it a tiny bit less quiet. Not that any of us are updating a ton or anything >_>;!

I feel weird and guilty adding your friends ... IDK I'll see what happens, but I think I have definitely spoken to misatopixie on LJ way back when, I remember the username very well.

I don't even remember how we met either X_x I was discussing this with someone else and like I can't remember how I've met like a single person in my life lmfao

yeah I'd probably feel weird adding other people's friends too XD But I mean if you wanted you could drop them a comment or sth and say like I sent you idk XD it's hard to introduce people to each other online. But yeah I probably wouldn't even do that myself so I get you lololol. Maybe I should try to make some kind of community we could all use and then everyone could meet each other that way but idek that sounds weird too XDDD

I feel like a knob doing that, IDK I just am shit at social things IRL and online xD even on Facebook I am so reluctant to leave comments in the groups I'm in so I just watch everyone else engage and make friends and be sad by myself in my virtual corner lol
