fixed glitch
So, my harem party got ruined. Herman is supposed to revert to being Black Sparrow if you defeat Forneus with him in the party, but there was a glitch in the original SNES game that if you defeated Forneus as your last of the four Sinistrals, the cutscene for closing all the abyss gates would 'override' the cutscene for Herman regaining his youth.
Well, the cutscene still gets overridden, but Herman just becomes young again with no explanation. Very disappointing to me.
It's possible to keep Herman through the end of the game, but you have to defeat Forneus BEFORE recruiting him at all. I don't know if it's possible to dump him, beat Forneus, then recruit him again.
In better news, though, I learned that you can get Yang Fan before hitting the point-of-no-return at the end of the game (I thought he was just an extra character there for if you lost one or something that late).
IDK if I wanna keep playing or start over now though. If I start over I'd probably move on to the bamf ladies party or the non-human characters party, instead of going for the harem again. I've already assembled them and played through most of the game, so it'll be a little stale. Maybe. I mean I've started the harem party like 4 times before on the SNES version and never got bored of it :P
I wish you could recruit Yang Fan earlier, because it would be nice to take him into a certain early-game level-up hotspot.
