Imperial SaGa's new Roll System and stuff~
Oh yeah, I forgot to ever make a post about this, and it's like... two weeks old now.
Imperial SaGa added a new "Role System" to the game!
Now as you defeat enemies, they will sometimes drop Role Points. These can be spent on learning and powering up Roles, which are sort of like a class system that give passive abilities and upgrades to your characters.
There are two main Role trees: warrior and mage. Each starts with that basic Role, but raising that Role to level 5 (by spending Role Points) will unlock the next "silver" tier of Roles that branch from it.
Each tree basically has the same mid-tier Roles -- the upper one focuses purely on damage, the center one on defense, and the bottom one on speed.
From there, though, each mid-tier Role unlocks two different high-tier Roles (the golden ones) at level five. The first of these is a big boost to a certain damage type -- the Warrior tree giving boosts to Cutting (attack route), Bludgeoning (defense route), or Piercing (speed route), and the Mage tree giving boosts to Hot (attack route), Cold (defense route), and Shocking (speed route).
The secondary Roles of the highest tier focus on a variety of bonuses, such as reducing SP cost, increasing HP regeneration, higher debuff chance against enemies, bigger status effect resistance, etc.
There's no limit to how many Role Points you can acquire or spend, so you can learn all the roles on every character if you want to. Of course, that would take a very long time...
And once you've learned a Role, you're able to equip it and unequip it to that character freely, so you don't get 'stuck' in a certain path or anything.
It's pretty fun and I have a few characters with high-tier Roles now, but I haven't leveled those up to the max level. I don't know if they max at Lv5 like the others or what. But I think the highest high-tier Role I have is like, Lv4?
Anyway, some other progress notes from me:
Berva is hot.
In the current Combat event, I actually got an 8-win streak! New record!
And I finally managed to S-rank the second Abyss Battle, which got me about 400 kr and a bunch of other stuff.
