Another ep I remember really well and loved growing up. Anytime Team Rocket teams up with the kids I smile. Really, they can do no wrong. I also love how Musashi is basically the team leader. I always thought it was cool to see her shake hands with Satoshi.
Episodes that break away from the usual status quo of "meet Character of the Day and their Pokemon of the Day, solve their life's issues in an afternoon, thwart Team Rocket and move on" are always my favorite if only for changing up the pace.
Pikachu is sassy AF. He, at least early on, always had an edge the other protagonists lacked. It just came across as quirky because of how cute he was, even when he was wishing for the death of the enemy team. And honestly, who can blame him? If a group of people kept trying to abduct you from your home then you might feel a certain way about it.
When I was a teen, I used to draw a red R on my hand with pen and my friend and I would call each other "Jesse" and "James" and recite the motto in front of our classmates and stuff. We even got a teacher to say the Mewoth line lol.
