So I was thinking about the basic strategy thing, and I guess it's kinda like him befriending Pokemon and earning badges in strange ways. Either he'd use the proper type matchups and strategies and ALWAYS win, or he'd always use them and then lose anyway, showing that they don't even work in the first place, which makes no point to him actually using them. Plus this way we get to feature whatever Pokemon we want :D
Kusaihana is a cutie. When I was a kid I looooooved the Nazonokusa/Oddish line. But now I'm more of a ... Bellsprout fan (couldn't think of its Japanese name XD)
I think later in the series they go for more intense battles for the gyms instead of gimmicks like this. When I watched the beginnings of X&Y the choreography for the gym battles was amazing. I can't wait to get that far... er... fewer than 800 episodes to go!!!! >_>;;
