Blacksmith ED attempt

So, the least-acquired achievment on Steam for PM3 is the Blacksmith ending. Of course, the English-language guides and wiki offer 0 information about this ending. I found ONE Japanese resource with information, though even Japanese guides seem to be 'off' sometimes (I followed an Imp guide to the letter and got a garbage ending -_-)
Here's what the guide says:
Stat requirements:
Stamina 300+
Intelligence 399-
Vitality 200+
Pride 399-
Morality 100+
Elegance 299-
Sense 300+
Charm 399-
Attitude, Courage, and Trust don't seem to matter.
Nutrition Center, of all things, needs to be the most attended school with 20+ times attended. (wtf)
Work 100 times total between mining and carpentry (maybe work at each one at least once?)
Cooking class 34 or fewer times (blacksmiths can't cook??)
Church 14 or fewer times (good girls don't become blacksmiths???)
Never work at the palace
End the game with 3499 or less G.
Most of this should be pretty easy to acquire -- after fasting 20 times, it should just be a matter of working at construction and mining over and over. Heck, we don't even have to be good at them!
Sense at 300+ will be the most annoying, as things that increase Sense seem to increase the other stats we want to keep low, and one is Cooking which we have to avoid somewhat (though keeping it under 35 is not hard). Art class will be the best bet, as it raises Sense by almost 2 a day and only also raises Intelligence, and even then, only a little. So I guess with that, it's not that bad, actually.
Retired Knight seems to be the best option for father's occupation (as it is... most of the time).
We'll need a lot of Stamina (200) and Vitality (150) to work at the Mines/Carpentry, so it will be important to get those up early. Fasting will tank Stamina, so getting the Vitality first is probably better, so we can start working at the carpentry as soon as possible. Once we get that going, we can switch over to the mines.
Wow, Vitality is strangely hard to raise. We only need 200, so it shouldn't be TOO bad but it seems like the best thing for raising it is actually housework...? No studies even raise it at all O_o
I think I'm going to take Aries for the birth sign... Raises Vitality and Stamina more than other things, and lowers some of the stats we need low. It's not perfect (decent Charm growth) but should do the trick IMO.
And blood type is B. Always blood type B. The other boosts don't seem to counter the amazingness that is -5 stress per month.
I originally thought about dumping all our initial money into fasting, but that seems like a recipe for danger, as it lowers stamina, and stamina is the stat that determines how well she does at carpentry work. So we'd not unlock mining AND be bad at carpentry. Not a good idea.
Instead, I think boosting up Stamina quite a bit until we're good enough for the ending, able to mine, and able to do quite well at carpentry should be the goal.
The best way to do that is through martial arts, and the growths should be significant enough that we don't need TOO much of it.
But first, I think we should focus on getting Vitality to 200, as the only real way we're going to do this is through house cleaning, and that is going to also boost stamina a bit, so we don't go to martial arts more than we need to.
Man, this is kinda complicated... I can see why no one got this on Steam lmao. Not only is it a low-priority ending, but it's quite obnoxious to obtain.
Ah, I just remembered we can buy turkeys to get Stamina. We'll be doing this anyway to remove stress, so Stamina shouldn't be too much of a problem. We can always force-feed a million turkeys endgame if we need to.
Anyway, I think here's our plan:
Retired Knight
March 25
Type B
-House cleaning until 200 Vitality, then swap to Carpentry.
-Carpentry/Martial Arts/Turkeys until 200 Stamina.
-Work mining ONCE once it's open (it lowers Morality, and we don't want to have to go to church)
-Carpentry until ~2500G
-Dump all the cash into fasting 20 times
-Carpentry until the end of the game, buying turkeys to rest (+Stam).
-Once hit 99 carpentries + 1 mine, do art class until Sense is 300, but not more than 19 times (switch to cooking if necessary).
-Final day, buy turkeys to get rid of money until <3500G and Stamina >300. I don't think she can get sick from being too fat at this point since there's no more schedule to execute.
After that, just try to balance out the stats. I don't THINK we'll be making any of the stats too high of the ones we need to keep low, but if we do, I can deal with that after filling out all the other reqs.
Oh man, after writing all this and starting the game, I remembered that Vitality randomly increases from Chat, so that's nice. Shouldn't be too hard to get to the 200 Vitality required for Carpentry.
OK, here we go!!! She's not getting the vitality+ from chatting, but I'm slowly gaining it through housework.
... Suddenly very hungry, gonna go eat the leftover curry XD
Stopped at 193 Vitality to start Carpentry. I mean, it raises Vitality slowly so I should be fine. I'm going to be doing it 99 times, which is enough to raise vitality by at least 99, so I guess I could have stopped housework at 150 vitality and been fine XD
I decided it doesn't matter WHEN I buy the turkeys, so I bought a ton of delicious meals after a few days of carpentry. Hopefully the bonus Stamina will help her do better at the work. And heck, maybe we can even win the Harvest Festival with all this extra stamina!
Ah, another great idea. KEEP BUYING TURKEYS. It's okay if our stamina gets super powered up, and we want to have no money at the end, right? So may as well pump up our stamina so we can win harvest festivals! Plus, she'll do better at the mines :)
... OK even pumping her up with turkeys, we still only got 5th in the harvest festival. Guess you're just not meant to win in the first few years :,)
The traveling merchant came when she was 11, so I made a save to fork to get the southern kingdom and rabbit princess endings.
And just after that, we finished our 20 fasts. I did another one just in case.
I'm going to actually alternate working and art class until I get 300 sense, then just carpentry until the end of the game. This way I don't have to actually count out 100 carpentries.
Well, it only took 8-9 art classes to get to 300 sense, nice. Now I just carpentry until the end of the game...? Let me make sure I have everything.
Stamina 281 (needs to be 300 but we'll get there with turkeys)
Intelligence 106 (well below 400)
Vitality 527 (well above 200)
Pride 107 (well below 400)
Morality 527 (well above 100 lol)
Elegance 135 (decently enough below 300)
Sense 309 (above 300, and it goes up slowly with carpentry work)
Charm 175 (well enough below 400)
Nutrition Center 21 times, check
1 blacksmith and 99 carpentry... that's all I'll be doing and there's 129 blocks left
Cooking and church are at 0
Never worked as a palace maid
And then just gotta end with no money (just buy turkeys at the end).
Cool, looks like I have everything! And she's only 12 years old.
OK that was a LOT of carpentry... we ended the game with almost 20,000G, and that's with buying all the outfits from the wandering peddler every time he appeared too :P
I tried ending without spending the money to see what ending I would get and I still got blacksmith. Looks like that information is wrong. I'll try spending it all and see if I get something else...
Nope, I spent all the money and still Blacksmith :,)
Now I'm going to try buying bouquets until I have 400+ charm and see if that changes anything...
Got Public Servant :)
Did the same with poetry books and Intelligence and got Architect.
Nice, 3 endings complete tonight :D
