OK I finished Pac-Man LOLLL. It was... very short XD I had a feeling I'd be able to finish it today so I just kept chugging. I even got all the achievements...

When I found the Frigidigitator, this... happened...? First off, I don't even know why I'm looking for this?? But also who is this??? The cute pink Pac girl is Cyli, but the like mustache ghost??? IDK??? I thought maybe it was Betrayus but I guess it's not?!?! Anyway, he possesses Cyli and uses the Frigi to attack Pac-Man.
It's a really easy boss fight. Basically, the room is a big circle, and the Frigi is in the center. There's a sort of 'stairway' of platforms attached to the side of it so you can climb to the top, but these 'stairs' have some ice obstacles on them and there are Fire Pac Power Berries everywhere, including right where you start. Just knock out one of the ice obstacles and hop over to the stair. Then you can take out the rest from there -- nothing can hurt you when you're close to the Frigi like that.
After that, you climb the stairs, then jump to some scaffolding that's up high. The Frigi is constantly shooting a laser at you, but you're faster than the Frigi so you just keep moving and it can't hit you. There are three fire pillar things that you can light up here -- each one of them opens a hatch on the Frigi and you shoot a fireball in. Since you target stuff by looking in its general direction, and all your attacks are homing attacks in this game, this is REALLY easy to do all of this...

Anyway, here's more Cyli. She's really cute and I like her lol. That's the... professor dude??? talking, who is also green and mustachey but nothing like the President.

Balloon Pac got a tiny bit more interesting, there are like... this ice spire things and they will pop you and you fall into lava and die XD So you have to kind of aim now. And if you "blow" too hard letting your air out, you can end up going way off-course so... you have to be careful at least. I tend to like this kind of gameplay mechanic, where you face a direction and then "blow" to push yourself away from that direction, and the more you do it, the more you accelerate. This has the added element that you also move slightly upward as you do it, too.

More Prez <3
Yesterday I said a stupid thing about how he had a phallic nose because I had already forgotten his appearance by the time I was typing LOL but Pac is the one with the dicknose. Prez is still beautiful though. I also already forgot his name.

BTW, this is how simple the world maps are. This is the ENTIRE map for Pacopolis Revisited, which is the 2nd to last world in the game. The final world was event simpler/smaller, but they just made the space between the stage dot things REALLY WIDE to make it look big or something...

The Metal Pac got a bit more interesting, too... at least in this one part. This is the only time it was interesting the whole game, though. Basically they made this gravity-flipping 3D maze and it was kinda confusing. It wasn't so much a MAZE, as generally you only had one way to go, but it looked confusing most of the time and sometimes it was a little difficult to figure out what to do. I liked it at least.

So I thought that cherry minigame thing was stupid well ... hahaha... meet LEMON BLASTER. This was absolutely awful. The controls were pretty much the same as the cherry thing but instead of just having to do a little rescue mission at your own pace, now it was a REALLY slow side-scrolling shmup-type thing... also, what was an obstacle and what was just background decoration was pretty much impossible to distinguish, and I died so many times from bumping something that was apparently an instant-kill objects and not just the background decorations... THIS HAPPENED A LOT. LIKE A LOT A LOT. I was so angry by the end of this and was so glad to get it over.

Also, here's the ugly-as-crap screens you get for finishing the minigames. I hate when games actually use the word "beat" to refer to clearing/winning/finishing lol. It's fine when people say it IRL to refer to games, but I think it sounds bad when games use it???

Also, SURPRISE! There's more Power Berries, I guess! Spin Pac is kinda pointless, I think they only used it a few times the whole game. Basically it's like regular Pac, but you can hold Y and it will start this like... "painting" mode where you paint a line on the ground, and you have limited "paint." When you let go of Y, Pac will zip across the line you painted really fast. They utilized this a couple ways -- big platforms that disappear almost instantly when you start on them, so you have to draw a course through them to pass them, and buttons that you had to press almost simultaneously for them to do whatever they were supposed to do. You also would eat any ghosts on your path. Because you could just redraw the path until you got it right, this was never particularly interesting except the first time when you realized how it worked/what you were supposed to do.

Anyway, here's an illustration of what I was talking about before how the game is pretty much 0 challenge. Like it's not that there is such a small amount of challenge that it's too easy, it's just that there's... nothing there to challenge you. Here I'm just running in a straight line. This is what you do for MOST of the game, except usually the path curves and has little stairs and stuff but... there's... not really anything you have to ... accomplish? To proceed? It's like watching an extremely boring movie, but for some reason you have to hold down a button to allow the movie to continue playing (and sometimes it gets stuck and you have to press a second button). That's seriously what the game is like...

Here's an even better illustration. Follow the line of Globe Sphere things or w/e they are called (the yellow dots lol) and you can see it's just... walking in a line. Now and then there are enemies, but when you reach them, they have this long appearing animation, and then they are really slow to attack, so you can just keep running and never have to worry about them.

In fact, the game even admits/jokes that it's just distracting you/wasting your time, rather than actually challenging you??? (This was actually a part of the story, I guess he was not trying to kill Pac, but rather just delay him so he could finish building his weapon.)

They just started talking about "Tree of Life" as if I knew what this was... Why does Pac-Man universe have a Tree of Life anyway??? XD Also "Tree of Death" lololol.

I unlocked the zucchini minigame. Of the four fruit games, this was by far the best one. It was pretty fun, though a bit too easy. There weren't any frustrating points, though, and that was good! Basically it was an on-rails shooter thing and you had a time limit... your car would rest in the center of the tunnel but you could push left or right to make it go up the sides, but if you let go, it would return to the center. You basically had to just avoid getting hit by other cars (there was usually a clear path to go through) and shoot ghosts or they'd bump you. Getting bumped made you wipe out which took a big chunk off your time. You could also pick up special zucchini bombs which were better against certain ghosts, so you'd want to conserve them wisely. All around, I enjoyed it.
This is a pretty simple-looking screenshot -- it got really wild-looking later.

I guess this is Betrayus, which means he's the President's brother. Time to ship them! For no reason! It never actually said this was Betrayus, but I just assume???

Also he has a Cerberus-Poodle thing which is funny/cute. This was a boss fight, and the start of the final world.
The boss fight was really easy. Basically the dog would wait forever and then finally charge you. But you could go stand next to a pile of dog food, and it would stop to eat the food. Then you could bite its tail. After doing this twice with both piles of dog food, it starts spinning rapidly and moving around the stage very slowly. Incredibly easy to dodge. There are four ghosts and you eat them and it stops spinning, dizzy, tail open for attack... then you win. Pretty short boss, too. Bosses up until now have been pretty long fights and fairly epic-feeling, even if boring to play. This felt really stupid and anticlimactic lol.
And uh, the entire final world was like that. The stages were all EXTREMELY short and didn't even have the kind of creativity and almost-challenge that prior stages had? Like one stage you literally just changed between the different forms and did one simple little thing with each. Like change to chameleon and swing over two little gaps. Then change to balloon and float up to a platform. Change to the granite ball and roll into a hole. Then it's over. It was that simple. Like, wtf???
It really feels like they had to design the final world but everyone on the staff was just like "omfg no I hate this game and don't want to make it anymore... just slap whatever together as fast as you can" and then that was the final world LOL. Like... the length of the stages were maybe like... 1/4 that of the rest of the worlds' stages. And there were just like 4 stages or something. Bosses were REALLY easy and simple.

Now and then when you return to the classroom, your teacher says this. Kinda rude???

The final boss was so fast and boring that I didn't even screencap it. Basically there were four pillars around the area. You jump on them and Betrayus would shoot the pillar instead of you, and it would ricochet off and hit himself instead. There was no real skill to it, you just had to hop on the pillar and you were guaranteed he'd hit himself. Once hit with the laser, though, the pillars would start electrocuting themselves and the ground, so it was better to move to the next pillar (even though it is possible to just stand on the one pillar if you could jump right before it electrocuted you each time I guess, but it seemed sudden and not meant for you to react to)
Anyway, that was it. You can beat it in like 20 seconds. Then he drop his gun and it explodes, and he starts to run away, and Pac eats him. Then he says he tastes worse than his butler?????????????????????????????????? Was that mustache ghost from the Frigi boss the butler??? I'm so confused lol. Anyway, there's no special music or anything, and this cutscene isn't any more dramatic or interesting than any of the other cutscenes. It's pretty much just Pac and Betrayus talking, then the little chomp and the butler comment.

Then it cuts to everyone in the school, and they discuss what the tablet things Pac has been finding say, now that they've been deciphered. Even though this was not the point of the story and IDK why I was even finding tablets, but I guess I was supposed to? Anyway, Professor says that they say the Tree of Life is the source of Power Berries, and everyone is like "wtf that's common knowledge, everyone already knows that!" and professor is like "Haha yeah I guess the tablets don't contain any useful information!" and Pac-Man is like "I WANT LUNCH!" and then suddenly...

The credits roll... and it's just playing the regular music from the cutscene and they scroll really fast and there's nothing special about them. And then it just takes you back to stage select screen.
That's it. That's the whole ending. It's less interesting than most of the cutscenes through the the game??? And like the ending is literally that the things you found were worthless???? And it was just them standing around and talking about that. That's it. Like it was maybe 10 lines of dialogue total then sudden credits roll...
Anyway, you get a pineapple for finishing the final stage, so I got the stupid pineapple minigame...

This was probably the longest one... it was not as frustrating as the lemon one, but it took forever. It wasn't exactly fun like the zucchini one, either. But it wasn't horrible, I guess. Basically there were things in these mazes and you had to go around and kill them all, then more would appear, and eventually you'd have 'won' that level. The later levels had tons of waves of monsters and the mazes were huge and obnoxious shapes so it took forever. Since this was pretty much all I had to do for achievements, it was particularly annoying, too, because at this point I just wanted to be done LOL
After finishing pineapple game, I only had one achievement left -- kill 100 enemies with Metal Pac. Since you hardly use Metal Pac, I didn't get this one while going through the game normally. I went back to the first stage where you get Metal Pac because there's a bunch of enemies at the beginning. I killed all the enemies in the entire stage except one and got to 100. I was going to finish the stage just so it felt 'complete,' but after that point there was a bunch of stupid Balloon Pac stuff which takes forever and I just quit the game LOL It does save your progress as you get achievements, though, so the hidden number of Metal Pac kills is saved to my save file I guess LOL. Even though it doesn't matter and you can't see it.
But yeah, that's it. That's the whole game. The graphics were cute and it seemed pretty polished, but it was just really boring and tedious to play. So much stuff took forever or you were just literally doing nothing but walking forward, so 90% of the game you weren't even really "playing," it was more like... waiting lol.
OK I was just looking up the name of Betrayus (incase it was longer, which it is) for the tags, and I found this pic of him before he died:

Soooooooo ummmmmmmmmmmm yeah. Why... why do I have... these kinds of... feelings...
