[4] Samurai Boy Showdown!

The infamous samurai boy episode. He attacks Kasumi and Satoshi with a sword, and I was like "Man, did they show this in the English version?!" though it's shortly after shown that it's a play sword made of rubber. So I'm guessing they probably did...? IDK. They cut out an entire episode because of a gun lol.



We get our first look at Kailios, which actually loses to Transel's hard shell. So far Caterpie/Transel has been Satoshi's winningest Pokemon. Pigeon was taken out each time it tried to battle, but Transel just keeps on getting Ws.



This episode is known for being the Transel-vs-Transel episode, where the gag is that the only thing the two Pokemon can do is harden their shells, and they spend all day in the hot sun trying to win... somehow.

Samurai boy (I don't think he had a name) mentions when they escape the Spear that he already fought three other trainers from Masara, and it shows a little montage of each battle versus his Kailios. It shows the other three trainers as using Hitokage, Zenigame, and Fushigidane, and as far as we know, only three trainers from Masara came before Satoshi, so that means that Shigeru must have gotten one of those three Pokemon. I don't know if it's ever revealed which Pokemon he picked, but it's interesting that it doesn't follow the Yellow story of giving him Eievui.

Most of this episode is just running from Spear. In the end, Transel is shown to be able to use tackle (or something, it like jumps up). It leaps up and impacts Spear, and like the game data, after the impact, it "pops out" LOL. Well, it gets a cut in its back and Butterfree emerges...

Then Butterfree is able to put the entire swarm of Spear, all the Beedles, AND Rocket Co. to sleep all at once, only having just evolved. How convenient XD

And with that it looks like we are on to Nibi City!
