Yeah, I think everyone thinks of my Tenta buddies that way :( It's a shame because they're really super awesome Pokemon, especially in Gen 1, I consider it one of the strongest Pokemon in the game. It's just everyone's team is usually pretty established by then, and since you CAN'T get to them without Surf, you're going to already have a Water-type Pokemon at that point, too, so why swap out?
I like Zubat, too, though. At least Crobat gave the poor thing some popularity. But I've always thought they were cool. I even had a Zubat plushie! I think it came from KFC.
Yeah you're totally right about it feeling kaiju-y in this episode. I loved it!
Yeah all her love for Menokurage and she gets Tattu, oh well XD
