Welcome to my playthrough diary of UNLIMITED:Saga, one of my favorite games of all time. A largely misunderstood game, but still reasonably disliked by many, UNLIMITED:Saga is full of convoluted game systems and terrible UI. But underneath this rough exterior is an exciting game of resource management and taking educated risks as you unfold the story and lore of the game's vibrant and fantastic world.

I'll list every character in the order that I played them (unfinished characters are just listed in a random order; I have no set order I'm using yet, though I'll probably do Armic's last).

I have already completed a single-character challenge (Henri in Laura's scenario) and a low-level game (doing only required adventures in Judy's scenario). I was streaming them on twitch, but then lost the data, and don't plan on picking that up again. You can watch the replays of those on my YouTube channel if you want.

I'll be doing some challenge runs as I play these, but not for all of them. I've squeezed every ounce of challenge out of this game that I can at this point, and would rather just play casually for the most part anymore.

Who knows if I'll have the resolve to get through all seven here. Also note that when I talk about the mechanics or story, I'm largely doing so by memory, so please excuse random errors and stuff, hahaha.

A NOTE ON BROKEN IMAGES
A note on broken images: I realize that all of the images from Ruby's, most from Mythe's, and probably by now some from Kurt's are missing. I was using Facebook as an easy image host for a while and the URLs of the images get changed now and then, so once they break, I'd have to go find the images again and paste the new URL. I started using Tumblr near the end of Mythe's scenario, but they do now and then do the same thing (though it's a lot less common/often). If anyone knows a free image host where I can host TONS of images forever, let me know!



Ruby's Scenario

For Ruby's scenario, I did a "Weapon Collector's Challenge" which is largely based around having to collect a lot of weapons due to its restrictions. I'll explain more in the first post. Since this is intended to be read whether or not you've played the game, I'll do a lot of explanation of the game mechanics, too, since they're pretty confusing and unorthodox.

Mythe's Scenario

Since this was my first time playing Mythe's Scenario, I decided not to do any challenge runs or anything like that. It's supposed to be challenging enough on its own, right? I ended up clearing all of the possible subadventures, so several of them get highlighted along the way. In the end, this was a very fun playthrough.

Kurt's scenario was one of the first I cleared back when the game was newer, and I've never played it again since. Because it's a bit frustrating on its own, I didn't do any strict challenge runs. But I did decide to have a largely magic-focused party.

I may do something simple like not using any line bonuses on the growth panel or something, though.
