So, in the unsaga kaitaishinsho, on the character profile pages they have this little text in the corner that says their age, gender, and a short 'descriptor' of them. I never really bothered looking at these much before because they're pretty plain, like "Chapa" is Armic's, "Judy's Brother" is Roy's, etc.

But!! Grace's says "Mage," which... doesn't sound too profound, but... the only other two people in the entire game listed as "mage" are Yun Crimsonrain and Clyde Blackstorm. I would assume Josef would be, too, if he wasn't listed as "Judy's Grandpa" lol. But, uh, even other very magey characters are listed as other things like Fortuneteller or Adventurer or something.

I realize this isn't any kind of "proof" of the canon power level of Grace, but ... I think it's pretty cool to imagine her on the same level as Yun, Clyde, and Josef. That would make her only second to Rebecca, Iskandar, and Faedaljen as far as living people go. And even throughout history the only people more powerful than Clyde & Co. are like... Leith Torles, Alyce Ambrosia... I think that's it?

Actually, now I want to kind of rank people by their innate magic strength according to lore LOLLLL

I think it would go something like this:

1. Faedaljen
2. Iskandar
3. Alyce / Leith / Vision!Ruby*
4. Rebecca
5. Josef / Clyde / Yun ( / Grace?)
6. Marie
7. Roy / Sapphire
8. Thomas
9. Judy / Normal!Ruby
10. Norff

* This is never really explained who it even is in the game, though, I just... assume it's Ruby seeing her future without realizing it or something like that?

To be honest putting Grace at the level of Marie or anyone lower seems... not too reasonable hahaha. Of course, I only went based on characters that are shown to have some kind of special magical talent as part of the story/lore, since it seems magic is a pretty normal thing that anyone can do in this world to some extent as long as they read a tablet, and everyone seems to even have a pretty high affinity with at least one element.

But yeah, Grace is super underdeveloped and mostly presented as a ~mystery~ so it's really hard to place her, but she's specifically listed as 'Mage' in the book so I feel like she belongs on the list of people who are magically gifted XD

I think she does too. Grace is still my favorite character from this game I've never played. I will forever hold onto the headcanon that, at some point in the future, after she spends Pharr's final days at her side, she chooses to release her mortal form and become the SCARLET GRACE of the heavens.
