So, I've been playing Girl's Side series a lot recently (in addition to QUITE A BIT of Pioneers of Olive Town) and I've gotten to know some of the guys better and just wanted to ramble a bit about them.

Teru Saeki & Ryota Kazama

First up, the prince of GS2. I played through the game blind going for him and ended up not getting his ending (looked at a guide afterward, and my athletics were just a LITTLE too low). I guess this is good because I ended up getting a scene where he decides to move away and tell you all between you has been a lie... so I got that painful still in my gallery organically lmao.

Coming off GS1, Saeki is a little bit of a let-down. Stand-offish perfect man after stand-offish perfect man? Geez.

However, that brings me to Ryo-chan. I managed to get his normal ending just fine, and he even proposes marriage...! I probably would have gotten his true ending if I would have gotten the camping scene (I for some reason thought the camp ground was at the mountain and the mountain was inaccessible so I got confused lol).

Anyway, the childhood friend trope is so refreshing after Hazuki-kun and Saeki. He likes you from the beginning but is hesitant to say so. Even in the opening scenes with you as children, his childhood wish is, innocently enough, to be happy forever with you and get married.

While he wasn't anything SUPER AMAZING, I did like Ryo-chan quite a bit, and he easily became my favorite of the princes. Though I haven't played GS3 yet so I can't comment on those two. I have a feeling I'm really going to like them, though. They seem pretty different from the others, as well.

Ryo-chan's voice was quite nice, too.

Iku Honda

Mostly I just wanted to gush about Honda-kun, though. He's the "brain" of GS4, being the one you get to meet when you study a lot. GS1's brain was a very shy smart guy, GS2's was a little more interesting, looking like the stoic academic type but being more of a dork, and then GS3's looks like he might be a bit of a cross between the two. All three wear glasses.

But Honda-kun -- !! Not only does he not wear glasses, but he's super outgoing and optimistic. He has a passion for the unknown, like he never lost that sense of wonder about the world that little kids have. He thinks everything is amazing and fascinating, and it was hard to find things he didn't like (roller coasters LOL). He also loves plants, bugs, and fish. He's not turned off by sports (though it seems like he freezes up when he actually has to PLAY them), and there's a bonus depth of him being close to his younger sister and his family in general.

He's a bit overly-enthusiastic at points, to the point where it's like "will this guy ever calm down?!" but I surprisingly didn't get that tired of it. It was super fun to have a brain character who was also an extrovert, and a super passionate one at that! I really fell hard for Honda-kun! He ended up becoming my favorite brain -- with Morimura in second and Hikami in third. I like all three, though.

I got his true ending (my first true ending), which was neat, though I'm curious what the normal ending is like.

I was trying to get Hikami's reversal ending with Chris as the 'other guy' in GS2, but ended up screwing it up (rival mode is ROUGH) and just got Chris's normal ending, sadly. Now that I finished Honda's ending in GS4, I think I might go back to GS2 and try for them again. Though I'm kinda in the mood to play more GS4. Or should I play GS3 which I haven't played yet...?
